ARTOFFICIAL: R3DEFINED — OFFICIAL POSTER!
For the past two years, we have had the pleasure of producing Artofficial, a minor division dance competition in which we aim to bring the focus of dance back to the creative process, and away from the bragging rights. In Spring 2012, we will be producing our third season of the competition, and with that focus in mind, we would like to invite you to join us.
From the beginning of Artofficial, we have made it our goal to redefine the idea of dance competitions, and we hope each year to achieve that goal step-by-step. Likewise, we attempt each year to redefine our competition itself, from the inside and out. With that said, we hope that you will be a part of our vision, as we welcome our third wave of dancers who will represent the future of the dance community on our stage in ARTOFFICIAL: R3DEFINED!
Some highlights of our competition:
- Introduction Compilation - Our competition begins with an introduction of all our competing teams, to give our audience a taste of what’s in store for the evening. All our competing teams will truly share the stage during this amazing opening!
- Scholarship Competition - Our company dedicates itself to providing opportunities for aspiring artists to develop, mold, and share their talents with the world. This year, we plan to push our participants further, as well as encourage and inspire creativity by implementing a scholarship competition, in which we will award the most deserving participants with a chance to train or further develop their craft.
- Additional Awards - At Artofficial, it’s never just about the scores or being first, second, or third place. Again, it’s about the creative process! Plus, we don’t just award the competing teams—exhibition teams are recognized for their hard work, too! All participating teams (exhibition and competition) qualify for these awards:

- Versatility
- Musicianship
- Ambassadors - Our friendly and knowledgeable staff and ambassadors will be with you through the entire competition process, every step of the way. We’ll make you feel welcome and comfortable as you prepare to perform!
To register, submit a cast list, short biography, video and picture of your team to artofficial@artistsanonymousent.com, and put “ARTOFFICIAL: R3DEFINED REGISTRATION - TEAM NAME” in the subject line. Make sure to include the main contact information, as well as anything else that you feel will give us a better idea of your team. Please note that registration does not guarantee acceptance, as we will only be accepting 15-17 competing teams.
Don’t wait, register your team today! The deadline to register is at 11:59PM PST on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Here are the requirements:
- Each team must sell 35 tickets.
- Your team must have at least 7 members.
- Your team members must be 19 years or younger, and may not be a part of any major dance teams.
